I ordered this as a Christmas gift and someone else mentioned it was in the original packaging. I shipped it to my mom's house and it came in a brown cardboard box (I had imagined the real thing in a pink box with a dirty address label) so it was the actual toy inside but it could stand , on the outer packaging, what's inside the package, so if your child can read or recognize the Barbie logo, please ship it to a different address! The plane looks great and I'm sure my daughter will have a blast on Christmas morning

A 2006 study by Dittmar found that children between the ages of five and a half and seven and a half were less satisfied with their body shape after reading a book with pictures of original Barbie dolls. Those who read the same story without the images were unaffected.
